Only residential rentals of minimum 12 months qualify.
! Commercial rentals (office, shops…) and short-term rentals (Airbnb-style) will not be covered.
! No sub-letting of the property.
In order to qualify, the following conditions will apply:
The landlord or mandated person must:
- Not allow a tenant to enter into possession of the premises unless a tenancy agreement has been completed, signed and registered to the competent authority (https://finances.belgium.be)
- Obtain satisfactory credit references, including verification of tenant’s solvency before granting the tenancy ! The monthly rent must not exceed 50% of your tenants’ revenues.
- Not allow a tenant to enter into occupation unless a 2-month deposit has been paid (bank deposit or equivalent proof are eligible)
! For Basic and Classic, premises that are rented for an amount including common charges which does exceed 1,500 EUR per month are excluded.
! For Landlord Premium, premises that are rented for an amount including common charges which does exceed 2,500 EUR per month are excluded.
